- Volume — select the track and use the volume slider in Properties
- Fade in/out — drag the fade handles at the start and end of the track
Add a voiceover
Record directly
- Click Voiceover in the toolbar
- Click Record and speak into your microphone
- Click Stop when done
- The recording appears as an audio track on the timeline
AI voiceover
- Click AI Voiceover in the toolbar
- Type or paste your script
- Choose a voice — different styles, genders, and accents
- Click Generate
The AI voiceover is added as a timed track on the timeline, synced to your scenes.

Adjust audio levels
Select any audio track to adjust:
- Volume — slider from silent to full volume
- Mute — silence a track temporarily
- Split — cut the track at the playhead position
Audio ducking
When voiceover and music play at the same time, use Auto Ducking:
- Select the music track
- Enable Auto Duck in Properties
- The music automatically lowers during voiceover sections and comes back up in between
Tips
- Keep background music at 30–40% volume so voiceover is clear
- Use fade in/out on music to avoid abrupt starts and stops
- Preview audio before exporting to check levels
- AI voiceover can be regenerated — edit the script and click Generate again
